The Calloway County Jail is a 129-bed correctional facility constructed in 1996, that houses state and county inmates. In addition to the main jail we have a 34-bed Workhouse. The Jailer is Ken Claud who was elected in 2014. There are 25-fulltime and 4 -part time employees.

Inmates have the opportunity to participate in programs that may help them upon their release from our facility. Some of these programs are GED Classes, NA and Substance Abuse Counseling, Inside/Out Dads, Portals New Directions, MRT, and NCRC. Inmates have access to an in-house law library and library cart privileges. Commissary is offered once a week so inmates may purchase hygiene and paper items or snack foods and drinks.
